The pandemic impacted the insurance industry in a number of significant ways, including the premature departure of many experienced and knowledgeable people. Over-50s who were “pensioned-up” and had reasonable savings decided that rather than return to the office post-lockdown, they would take early retirement.
Almost five years on, a number of these individuals seek a return to work in some capacity, maybe to replenish their savings, help to make a contribution by imparting their knowledge and experience to the next generation, or they simply realise that they left the industry too early and sheer boredom has set in.
We are advising a number of these people, together with other senior individuals who have recently stepped away from the industry for different reasons, but wish to return in some capacity.
